Back in the early days of MDI Woodcarvers we carried a couple of book by Orchid Davis. They were the first woodburning books we carried other than the one published by Colwood. Her books were full of very useful information and the  techniques taught in their pages followed sound artistic theory. Just looking at her work and that fact becomes obvious. In her early books, she created everything with just 3 burning tip shapes. She has since expanded her choices to include a few more, but the quality of her teaching and advise is as first class as ever. In her latest book The ABCs of Woodburning there is something of value for every level of pyrography.
